My Airsoft Journey in Japan

Getting out to this field was a case of knowing a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that has a ride to get to the field in Ayase. After some texting I managed to get a ride with a Japanese guy nicknamed Jackal-San who would become my main contact to airsoft groups for the next few years. Also the Ayase field is no longer there as the police shut it down years ago.
The field was pretty spacious with mostly flat terrain with bunkers and lots of trees to use as cover. I think it was my favorite place to play airsoft out of all the fields I’ve been to.
The first time I went there was with Jeremy and Alex. Jeremy used a Marui M4 S-system and Alex with his Ak74 1st gen recoil rifle. Only bad part about that place was we had to share next door with amateur golfers. They would hit stray balls on our side all the time so not dangerous at all! Our bbs couldn’t hit farther than 40-50 meters so the golfers were safe hehe





This place was huge man and here are some of the bunkers that were fun to use. I remember one time a guy in American WW2 paratrooper gear with his Tommy gun stormed our bunker that took me and Rich out with one blast. As you can see it’s a very wooded area so green camouflage works the best and my old grey ACU uniform was terrible for this environment. But I was making myself at home, welcome to the newbie bunker!
I miss this field but I was glad I wasn’t there when the police came to shut it down yikes! Also was introduced to WW2 paratrooper players at that place that influenced me to use the same gear a couple years down the line. Nothing like a blast to the face with a Thompson machine gun!
